Register with Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa

If you are descended from the iwi or hapū of Te Rohe o Te Wairoa by birth, legal adoption, or whāngai (Māori customary adoption), you are invited to register with Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa. The list of eligible iwi and hapū is defined in our Trust Deed in the defined terms section.

Why Register?

By registering, you and your whānau can benefit from the Settlement Assets managed by Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa Trust. Registration also allows you to vote in Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa elections and on special resolutions.

How to Register?  

You can complete your registration online by clicking the button. If you have any issues with your registration, feel free to get in touch.

  • Complete the online form.  Parents can register their children under 18 years old.  Individuals over 18 must complete their own registration.
  • You will need to provide personal details and the names of your family members (if known), including parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, as well as your iwi, hapū, and marae.
  • After submission, we will check your form for completeness.  If any information is missing, we will contact you.
  • Your information will be confirmed by our validation committee.
  • You will be notified if your registration is successful or if further details are required.
  • Successful applicants over 18 will become an ‘Adult Registered Member’ as defined in our Trust Deed.
  • When they turn 18 years old, registered children will be invited by us to become an ‘Adult Registered Member’.
