Zoom invitation – Tātau Tātau needs your feedback

E ngā hapū , e ngā iwi, kāhui tangata o te rohe o Te Wairoa, huihuia kia kotahi, he take nui tō tātau.

Tātau Tātau has been invited by Ngāi Tahu to participate in their statement of claim against the Crown in regards to Wai Māori – Freshwater.  The outcome of this case, win or lose, has wide-ranging effects over the rights and interests of hapū and iwi to exercise their rangatiratanga over Wai Māori. Tātau Tātau is seeking your input to enable the board to make the right decision.

Given the current Covid-19 disruption we will engage with you during February through a series of Zoom sessions. Each facilitated Zoom session starts with an informational video providing background to the Ngāi Tahu case and options for our consideration. Please see the presentation slides here. An FAQ sheet will also be available.

If you would like to attend any of the sessions, please register your interest at contact@ttotw.iwi.nz to be sent a link and password to the Zoom session. Please specify which session date and time you would like to attend.

Dates:

Friday: 11 February 2022 - 6pm to 7pm

 Monday: 14 February 2022 - 7pm to 8pm
