Leon is the Co-Chair of the Matariki Governance Group, which plays a crucial role in regional economic development in Hawke's Bay. His professional achievements include serving as a director on several companies in industries such as Information Communication Technology, horticulture and the Maori sector.

Representative trustee for Te Whakaki Nui a Rua Kahui and Deputy Chair of the Trust. Pieri has had a long career in the NZ Police including appointments as the Deputy Chief Executive Iwi and Community and Superintendent. Pieri held the position of Te Pou Whakarae (Māori Partnerships Group Manager) at Hawke’s Bay Regional Council.

Representative trustee for Te Iwi o Rakaipaaka Kāhui. Graeme's dedication to preserving the mauri of the taiao and his efforts in establishing a native plant nursery have been instrumental in creating employment and higher learning opportunities for the community of Nuhaka and Ngati Rakaaipaka.

Representative trustee for Ngā Tokorima a Hinemanuhiri Kāhui. Irah is the current Operations Manager for his Kahui and is the owner of Heyder Industries Limited, a company based in Wairoa. His contributions to the community include journalism, work at the Tairāwhiti Community Law Centre and Korou Limited, a digital production company for rangatahi.

Representative trustee for Te Wairoa Tapokorau Mai Tawhiti Kāhui. Professionally, Oha has a career in counselling. She has also made significant contributions to the community through her work at the Tairāwhiti Community Law Centre.

Representative trustee for Te Wairoa Tapokorau Whānui Kāhui. He plays a significant role in the governance and strategic direction of the trust, contributing to the well-being and development of our whanau in the Wairoa community. Phil is passionate about gathering kai from the ngahere, awa and moana. He has a keen interest in whakapapa and matauranga of iwi and hapu.

Representative trustee for Te Hononga o Nga Awa Kāhui. She has been actively involved in the recovery efforts following Cyclone Gabrielle, working tirelessly to support her community. Michelle is also the chairwoman of the Body Representing Māori interests in Wairoa (BRM) and advocates for cultural and spiritual values.  She has served as a Trustee of her Marae, Hinemihi for well over a decade. Her commitment to preserving the sanctity of the Wairoa River and ensuring the well-being of her community has made her a respected figure in the region.

Experience in governance and executive roles across whānau, hapū, Iwi, communities, commercial, and government sectors. Recent roles include BNZ National Head of Māori Business, CEO of Ngāti Porou Commercial and currently the CEO of Te Awahohonu Forest Trust.

A seasoned Māori business leader and investor, serving as Managing Director of HTK Group and Partner at HTK Ventures. He chairs multiple governance boards, oversees significant asset portfolios, and advises government on Māori economic development, workforce strategy, and innovation across sectors including agritech, climate tech, and AI.

A practising lawyer, mediator, and consultant with extensive commercial, public, and not-for-profit experience. Fluent in te reo Māori, Wi Pere brings deep cultural fluency and a strong track record in asset optimisation and economic development.

With over 40 years in the travel and aviation sectors, Philip brings significant experience in governance, leadership, and technology-driven business solutions. Currently active in the redevelopment of Morere Hot Pools, he adds valuable insight into regional economic development and iwi partnership frameworks.

A Chartered Accountant and partner at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway, Craig has over 15 years’ experience in governance across both Iwi and non-Iwi entities. His strategic and business advisory background strengthens the board's commercial acumen.

An expert in investment management, Darren supports Māori organisations in accessing capital and navigating large-scale renewable energy projects. He brings valuable expertise in feasibility, planning, and global investor networks.
